Rich text

Rich text is the theme’s quiet speaker: one message with a small eyebrow line, a heading, a paragraph, and an optional button — centered, or sitting on a soft tinted band.

Use it between media sections for a brand statement, a promise, or a transition (“Made to be chewed. Guaranteed.”). You assemble it from four content blocks — use the ones you need, skip the rest.

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Edit theme. (Older admin versions label this button Customize.)
  2. Open the template where you want the section.
  3. Click Add section and choose Rich text — it is added with four blocks already in place: Eyebrow, Heading, Text, and Button.
  4. Edit those blocks with your own words (see Set it up: quick start).
  5. Save.

  1. Add the section — it starts with four blocks: Eyebrow, Heading, Text, Button.
  2. Select the Eyebrow block and retype its Text field — a short lead-in like “Since 2016”.
  3. Select the Heading block and retype its Heading field with your title.
  4. Select the Text block and replace the demo paragraph with your own.
  5. Select the Button block: set First button label (“Shop the collection”), paste the Link, and pick a Button style — Solid (filled) or Outline (border only).
  6. Don’t need one of them? Select that block and use Remove block — delete the Eyebrow for a plainer look, or the Button when there’s nowhere to send shoppers.
  7. Save.

See the table under Choose a style — Alignment, Style, and Color scheme are the section’s own settings.

The section is assembled from content blocks. Each block has its own settings:

Button styleSolidSolid / OutlineSolid is filled (main action); Outline is a border-only quieter look
  • Text only — for media pairings use Media with text.
  • The Tinted band works well right after a photo section; the band’s color comes from the chosen color scheme.
  • One message per section. For multiple paragraphs, add several Text blocks — or use a full page.
  • The Button block always renders once added — an empty First button label or Link still draws a button, so fill both in or remove the block.
  • The button style follows the theme’s two-button language (Solid for the main action, Outline for quieter ones).

Brand promise. Eyebrow “Our promise”, heading “Because they give you everything”, one paragraph, Solid “Learn more” button, centered.

Quiet divider. Heading only, Left-aligned, Plain style — a single line between two photo sections.

Can I center the text but left-align the button? Alignment moves the whole block together — mixed alignment isn’t a setting.

How do I remove the eyebrow line? Delete the Eyebrow block in the sidebar.

The band color isn’t what I expected. Band and text colors come from the chosen Color scheme — pick another scheme, or adjust the scheme in the theme’s global color settings.
