Collage

The Collage arranges three kinds of cards — photos, quotes, and products — into one magazine-style wall. You choose the cards and their order; the theme handles the layout.

What it does

Use it to break the rhythm of a page with a personal, editorial block — community photos, a customer quote, and a product suggestion side by side. Cards render in the order of the blocks in your sidebar, so you control the mix.

Add it to a page

1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Edit theme. (Older admin versions label this button Customize.)
2. Open the template where you want the section.
3. Click Add section and choose Collage.
4. Add blocks in the order you want them to appear: Add block → Image / Quote / Product.
5. Save.

Choose a style

There is no layout setting — the collage look comes from the cards you add and their order. Start from the section’s default content and swap the blocks.

Set it up: quick start

1. Add the section and set the Heading.
2. Add an Image block and pick a photo (link it to a collection or page if you like).
3. Add a Quote block — a short customer line and the author’s name.
4. Add a Product block and pick a product; the card shows photo, name, and price.
5. Rearrange blocks in the sidebar until the mix feels right, then save.

Images and content tips

• Portrait photos (around 3:4) suit the collage cards best; images are cropped to the card shape.
• Quotes you publish are your responsibility — use real customer words, and keep them short enough to read at a glance.
• The demo quote and author are placeholders — replace both before publishing.

Good to know

• Block order is the display order. Drag blocks in the sidebar to rearrange the wall.
• Product cards follow the theme’s product card style, including the card shapes and hover effects set globally.
• No autoplay, no animation tricks — the collage is a quiet, static block.

Example setups

Community wall. Heading “From the community”, three Image blocks of customer photos, one Quote in the middle, one Product card linking the quote’s product.

Launch teaser. Heading “New this month”, Product / Image / Product / Quote — two new products framed by a lifestyle photo and a tester quote.

Common questions

My cards look uneven. That’s the collage’s nature — the theme balances sizes automatically. If one card dominates, try a different photo orientation or reorder the blocks.

Can I add more than one quote? Yes — add as many Quote blocks as you like, though two or three read best.

The product card is empty. Pick a Product in the block; the card fills itself from the product’s data.
