Logo list

In Scrolling row, shoppers can select Pause animation/Resume animation. Keyboard focus and hovering pause the row. With theme animations off, reduced motion enabled, or JavaScript unavailable, the original logos wrap into static rows; duplicated animation items are excluded from keyboard navigation.

Logo list shows a tidy row of logos under a small heading — the classic “As featured in” strip. Point it at the publications, partners, or brands that feature your products, and shoppers get a quick trust signal without reading a word.

Use this section when you want to say “other names vouch for us” in one glance — press mentions, brand partnerships, certifications, or stores that carry your products. The section keeps every logo at the same visual height so mismatched files still line up neatly, and it can display them as a static row or as a slowly scrolling strip.

You upload each logo yourself as an image, so you can show anything a picture can show. Each logo can also link somewhere — a press article, a partner’s page — or just sit there as decoration.

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Edit theme. (Older admin versions label this button Customize.)
  2. Open the template where you want the section (for example, the home page).
  3. Click Add section and choose Logo list.
  4. The section starts with four empty logo slots.
  5. Click each Logo content block in the sidebar and upload its image.

The Layout setting switches between two arrangements:

StyleHow the logos sit
Grid (default)Logos wrap onto one or more centered rows and stay still
Scrolling rowLogos glide by in one endless line that loops seamlessly and pauses when a shopper points at it

The Background setting switches between Light (logos on the page background) and Dark (a rounded dark band behind the logos — a good way to break up a long page).

  1. Add the section and pick a layout (see above).
  2. Click the first Logo content block in the sidebar and upload a logo image.
  3. Optionally add a Link so clicking the logo opens a page.
  4. Repeat for each logo — up to 12.
  5. Edit the Heading if “As featured in” doesn’t fit, or empty it to remove the title.
  6. Save and check the preview.

  • Use transparent logo files (PNG with a clear background) — they sit cleanly on both light and dark backgrounds.
  • Logos are scaled to a matching height, but very different shapes can look uneven; crop logo files to a similar width before uploading.
  • Dark, low-contrast logos can disappear into the dark band — light gray or white logo versions work best with the Dark background.
  • Only list names you actually work with or have been featured in. The strip reads as a trust statement, so keep it truthful.
  • The scrolling row needs motion enabled. It animates only when Enable entrance animations is on in the theme settings; otherwise the logos display as a still, wrapping grid. Shoppers who prefer reduced motion likewise see a calm page.
  • Hover pauses the scroll. Pointing at the scrolling row stops it so a logo can be read or clicked.
  • On a dark background, logos are always shown in a light monochrome style so they stay visible on the dark band — the Grayscale logos setting doesn’t apply there.
  • Clicking behavior is per logo. A logo without a link simply isn’t clickable; the cursor and hover effects only appear on linked logos.
  • Empty slots show a placeholder graphic, so you can see the layout while you are still collecting logo files.

Press strip (Grid). Four to six publication logos, Grayscale logos on, Light background, Heading “As featured in”. Place it under the hero on the home page for an instant credibility cue.

Partner marquee (Scrolling row). Eight to twelve partner logos, Dark background, Scroll speed 45 s for a slow, calm glide. Works well above the footer, where it quietly fills the gap between content and the end of the page.

My logos have different sizes and look messy. The section scales every logo to the same height automatically, but very wide or very tall files can still dominate. Crop the logo files to a similar shape before uploading them.

The row doesn’t scroll even though I picked Scrolling row. Scrolling motion requires Enable entrance animations to be on in the theme settings. With animations off — or for shoppers who prefer reduced motion — the logos show as a still, wrapping grid instead.

The logos look washed out on the dark background. That is intentional: on the Dark background every logo is rendered in a light monochrome style so it stays visible on the dark band. Upload light-colored logo versions if yours are too dark to read.

How many logos should I add? Up to 12 are supported. For the Grid layout, 4–8 keeps the row balanced; for the Scrolling row, more logos make the loop feel smoother.

Can I remove the “As featured in” title? Yes — empty the Heading setting and the section shows only the logos.
