FAQ
The FAQ section lists questions shoppers can tap open and closed. Three arrangements, a soft color band option, and structured data for search engines under the hood.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Use it on the home page, a policy page, or a product landing to answer the questions that repeat in your inbox: shipping times, materials, guarantees. Answers can use basic formatting — bold, links, lists.
Add it to a page
Section titled “Add it to a page”- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Edit theme. (Older admin versions label this button Customize.)
- Open the template where you want the section.
- Click Add section and choose FAQ.
- Click Add block → FAQ question for each pair (up to 12).
- Type the question and answer, then save.

Images and content tips
Section titled “Images and content tips”- No images in this section — it’s deliberately text-first. Link to pages with photos instead.
- Write questions the way customers ask them (“How long does shipping take?”), not the way you’d phrase them internally.
- Answers of 2–4 sentences read best; link out for details.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Answers expand without page reloads — the accordion is built so tapping a question feels instant.
- Search engines can read the Q&A structure — the section outputs structured data (a common SEO practice for FAQs) automatically; there’s nothing to configure.
- Keyboard and screen reader friendly — questions are real buttons that announce their open/closed state.
Example setups
Section titled “Example setups”Shipping & returns FAQ. Split layout, intro text + “Contact us” button, six questions with links to your policy pages.
Product page mini-FAQ. Stacked layout, four questions about materials and care, Color band with Cream tint to separate it from the product grid.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”All my answers show at once / nothing opens. That’s the browser’s basic behavior failing to load — check that no app inserted conflicting code; the accordion works on the plain theme.
Can I add an image to an answer? Not in this section — answers are text with formatting. Link to a page or section that holds the photo.
How many questions should I publish? As many as shoppers actually ask — 5 to 10 is the sweet spot; the maximum is 12.
